One of the most famous cases of a celebrity suing for crap plastic surgery involves former lead singer of Dead or Alive, Pete Burns. He successfully took legal action and received an out-of-court settlement for £450,000 against his plastic surgeon. Dr Maurizio Viel admitted negligence after Pete Burns had suffered adverse reactions from lip fillers continually administered to Burns. The lip implants left the former pop star with symptoms of swelling, lumps, discharge and pain.

The £450,000 payment resulted from the botched plastic surgery which the singer started to receive in the year 2000. This continued for a number of years under the supervision of Dr Viel at the London Centre for Aesthetic Surgery.

Eventually, Pete Burns had to undergo over 100 operations by specialists in Genoa, Italy, to try to correct the damage. He claimed he was left so disfigured he was suicidal. He could not eat normally and could only drink through a straw.

Burns said his career had been negatively affected as he was about to embark on certain musical projects if it were not for the botched plastic surgery. Instead he had to undergo more than 18 months of corrective surgery in Italy to try to remove the filler from his lips.

Look no further than part African-American and part Native American actress Vivica Fox. She is of course well known for her roles in hit films such as Kill Bill, Set It Off and Independence Day.

There is a very discernable dent in her breast where the implants have settled unevenly. That must be so embarrassing for Vivica Fox. These cringeworthy photos were taken when turned up on the red carpet at an awards show with a revealing dress that displayed a far from impressive boob job.

When it comes to plastic surgery, Burt Reynolds would be one of the less obvious potential patients. Throughout the years he has been portrayed as a macho, cavalier character on the silver screen. Not some vain actor who was over concerned with his looks, although he did pose for Playgirl during the height of his career.

I was surprised to see Burt Reynolds got a facelift and possibly some Botox to iron out those wrinkles and lines on his forehead. His face looks stretched back and has a wax-like appearance about it now. His rugged, manly looks have been substituted for some less masculine mask. Burt Reynolds was once voted “The Sexiest Man Alive” in People magazine many years ago. I think he needs to let go of that and stop trying to recapture the past via plastic surgery.
