Donatella Versace is undoubtedly a worldwide fashion icon. Celebrities in the fashion industry are noted for their ever-changing looks but the transformation in this case is like chalk and cheese. This photo is a comparison of Donatella Versace before and after numerous plastic surgery procedures. It looks like two completely different women. Although the one on the left is definitely less scary.

The Vice-President and Chief Designer at the Versace Group has extensive work done to her face, nose and lips especially. She looks like a human cartoon or someone drawn in caricature. Recently, she underwent a huge loss in weight which also revealed the presence of previously unnoticed breast implants.

When it comes to plastic surgery, Burt Reynolds would be one of the less obvious potential patients. Throughout the years he has been portrayed as a macho, cavalier character on the silver screen. Not some vain actor who was over concerned with his looks, although he did pose for Playgirl during the height of his career.

I was surprised to see Burt Reynolds got a facelift and possibly some Botox to iron out those wrinkles and lines on his forehead. His face looks stretched back and has a wax-like appearance about it now. His rugged, manly looks have been substituted for some less masculine mask. Burt Reynolds was once voted “The Sexiest Man Alive” in People magazine many years ago. I think he needs to let go of that and stop trying to recapture the past via plastic surgery.

Perhaps the most obvious example of crap plastic surgery undertaken over a long period of time would be the case of Jocelyn Wildenstein. Her terrible plastic looks have caused her to be labelled as “The Bride of Wildenstein” in reference to the fictional Dr Frankenstein and his monstrosity of a bride. The transformation over the years has been horrific.

It is rumoured Jocelyn Wildenstein has spent around USD 4 million over the years on cosmetic surgery processes. Her plastic surgery addiction began after she caught her husband cheating on her with another woman. In order to win him back, she went under the knife to “improve” her looks. As it turns out, they are no longer together despite all her efforts to make herself look beautiful through surgery.

Heidi Montag is the 23 year-old star in the reality TV show “The Hills”.  Not surprisingly, her looks have been altered a fair bit over the past few years. Heidi Montag admitted in an interview with “People” magazine that she is addicted to plastic surgery. She claimed she had ten cosmetic surgery procedures performed on her in one day during November 2009. Although a lot of the work has been gradual and well-performed, her chest does look obviously fake and artificial.

In the People magazine article, Heidi Montag revealed that her plastic surgeries have included a nose job, chin reduction, botox injections in her forehead, neck liposuction, ear pinning, a mini brow lift, fat injections in her cheeks, lip collagen injections, liposuction on her waist, hips, and inner and outer thighs, buttock augmentation and breast enlargement surgery. You name it, she’s done it! Heidi Montag’s obsession with plastic surgery has placed her in danger of serious health complications or even death, as plastic surgery procedures can cause both.

According to “People”, Heidi Montag did not even tell her family about her plans to undergo so many plastic surgery procedures. She seems truly obsessed with plastic surgery and there will come a point where too much cosmetic surgery will make her look awful and it may even leave her scarred.

It seems that Botox is a popular treatment among the male cast of American Idol. Ryan Seacrest reportedly overdid the Botox back in Season 2 of American Idol. When he turned up to work with a frozen face and told the producers of that he had undergone Botox injections to get rid of wrinkles on his face, they reportedly banned him from further treatments.

As many celebrities and cosmetic surgery junkies know, Botox is a simple and non-surgical treatment that has the benefits of temporarily smoothing out moderate to severe frown lines between a person’s brows. One Botox treatment only takes  5-10 minutes to complete and it merely involves a few tiny injections if you can stand the minor discomfort of a needle in your face. Simon Cowell has also previously confessed to getting his wrinkles removed with Botox injections. “I have not had cosmetic surgery. Yes, I’ve had Botox, but not in an obsessive way. Then again, every guy I know who works in the City has had it now.”
